Direct Connect: Filling last-minute shifts faster than ever
What is Direct Connect?
As a facility leader, imagine you have a last-minute shift that needs to be filled within the next 24 hours. In the past, posting the shift and waiting for bids could take time that you don’t have. Direct Connect allows you to directly offer a shift to up to five independent professionals that you’ve previously favorited in the app. These professionals immediately receive a push notification, and if one of them claims the shift, it’s theirs—no waiting or back-and-forth required. Meanwhile, the shift is also available on the marketplace for other professionals to bid on, maximizing your chances of getting it filled quickly.
Why does it matter?
Direct Connect was built with your needs in mind. We know that maintaining continuity of care is crucial. By offering shifts directly to those you’ve worked with before and trust, you’re helping to ensure quality care and saving time. During testing, 90% of shifts filled through Direct Connect were successfully completed by the professionals who claimed them. This means more shifts are being covered quickly and effectively, keeping your operations running smoothly.

Marketplace Ratings: Building trust in every shift
Why are ratings important?
Trust is key in healthcare, and that’s why we’ve launched Marketplace Ratings. Now, both facilities and independent professionals can rate each other after a shift. This system helps everyone make informed decisions about who they want to work with. Whether you’re a scheduler looking to connect with qualified professionals or an independent professional wanting to know more about a community before accepting a shift, these ratings provide valuable insights.
How does it work?
After a shift ends, you’ll have 48 hours to rate and endorse the other party on the app. Professionals will be able to see their average rating after receiving three ratings, and facilities will be able to view a professional’s average rating once they’ve been rated three times. This system supports accountability and helps everyone understand the ShiftKey marketplace better and make choices that fit their needs.
